Apply to Work with UC Berkeley Dev Psych Faculty via UC President's Postdoctoral Fellowship Program

The University of California President’s Postdoctoral Fellowship Program was established in 1984 to encourage outstanding women and minority Ph.D. recipients to pursue academic careers at the University of California. The current program offers postdoctoral research fellowships, professional development and faculty mentoring to outstanding scholars in all fields whose research, teaching, and service will contribute to diversity and equal opportunity at UC.

If interested in developmental psychology, UC Berkeley’s faculty members in the area investigate numerous areas of development, plasticity, and change including sensory processes, cognitive capacities, language, reasoning, everyday knowledge of the world, emotions, and social relationships. They also examine both typical and atypical development, each providing rich insights for better understanding the other and suggesting new approaches for effective treatments and preventive interventions.

Prospective applicants should contact faculty members they’re interested in working with. Please see the UC Berkeley developmental labs website to learn more about the research going on in the area.

Generally, applicants may apply for a Postdoctoral Fellowship at one or more of the institutions listed including UC Berkeley. However, Applicants may apply to only one University of California campus or UC-affiliated National Lab.
