Job Description:

The Department of Psychology at Assumption University (Worcester, MA) invites applications for a full-time tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor. Individuals with specialization in human neuroscience or biopsychology, broadly defined, are encouraged to apply.

Candidates must be committed to undergraduate teaching and advising as well as service to the university and greater community. The ideal candidate would teach introductory and advanced courses in human neuroscience (particularly perception or social and affective neuroscience) as well as fundamental courses in statistics and research methods. 

The candidate will also have the opportunity to teach courses within their area of expertise to contribute to our growing offerings in human neuroscience. Candidates must also be able to provide evidence of scholarship and promise of developing a research program. We are especially interested in candidates whose research program can offer opportunities for undergraduate student collaboration.

* Doctorate in psychology, neuroscience, or a closely related discipline by the date of hire;

* Experience teaching at the college level is preferred; 

* Candidates must be willing to contribute actively to the mission of the University as well as show respect for the Catholic and Assumptionist identity of Assumption University;

* Vaccinated and boosered for COVID-19, required.
