Part-Time Data Analyst at Knology
Knology is seeking a part-time data analyst to support our diverse team of research social scientists, journalists, and educators. The ideal candidate for this position will have the following qualifications:
● A master’s degree (or evidence of current enrollment in graduate school); ● Advanced skills in / experience with qualitative data analysis (including coding); and/or quantitative data analysis (including proficiency in R);
● Prior experience with mixed-methods social science research; and
● Interest in / experience with library and information sciences, informal learning (especially in museums, libraries, and/or media), public health, social justice, and/or public policy.
Job Responsibilities and Benefits
Interns are considered part of the Knology staff, and will participate in data analysis activities across all of the organization’s projects.
This position comes with opportunities for professional growth and career advancement. As such, we are particularly interested in applicants looking to refine their data analysis skills and to broaden their qualifications in applied research. While interns will not be able to pursue any independent research, they will have the opportunity for co-authorship on publications, and for developing a portfolio that illustrates their contributions to Knology’s work and their own professional development.

We will accept letters of interest until the position is filled. Currently, Knology budgets $15 / hour (increasing to $16 / hour in 2024) for this data analysis internship.
