Postdoc Position at Dartmouth

The Social Identity in Dialogue (SID) Lab in the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences at Dartmouth seeks to recruit a postdoctoral researcher to begin Summer or Fall 2023.

The postdoc will have the opportunity to work with two existing conversation datasets, including Zoom and face-to-face conversations about race between cross-race friends and mentor-mentees. The postdoc will also be encouraged to pursue new projects related to intergroup interactions and communication.

As such, ideal candidates will have: (1) a PhD in psychology, computer science, linguistics, or another related field by the start date; (2) a strong background or interest in conversation/ interaction analysis (e.g., NLP); (3) a strong background or interest in the social psychological study of intergroup relationships, identity, inequality, and/or psychological interventions relevant to these domains; and (4) excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
