Please Note: This position is a full-time, term position.
The Program Coordinator is part of the LIVE Initiative at Vanderbilt University and is a key individual contributor responsible for administrative support to the project and research goals of the LIVE Initiative. The position regularly collaborates with a team including but not limited to Research Engineers, Research Scientists, System Architects, Education Faculty, and Graduate Student Researchers to accomplish project-specific goals.
About the Work Unit:
The Learning Incubator: a Vanderbilt Endeavor (LIVE) is a new, campus-wide initiative designed to reimagine and re-engineer technology’s role in teaching and learning. With an emphasis on community and corporate partnerships. LIVE will aim for discovery through inclusive design and the use of computational thinking.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Basic technical and operational support for users of LIVE software and technical tools
• Data (video) coding
• Social event support
• Supporting participants in research protocols in the lab and community,
• Organizing and supervising undergraduate assistants
• Managing social media and basic web page updates
• Working with staff to establish purchase orders, requisitions, and arrange payments and reimbursements to third parties
• Library research
Supervisory Relationships:
This position does not have supervisory responsibility. The position reports administratively to the Director of the LIVE Initiative
Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree in a social science discipline (e.g., psychology, sociology, political science, education) or a relevant field, from an accredited institution of higher education, is required.
• Fluency in Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required
• Data entry and analysis experience using statistical software such as SPSS, JASP and R
• Outstanding oral and written communication skills, including proofreading skills, are necessary
• Coursework in the behavioral sciences (including psychology, teaching and learning, cognitive science, data science) and/or and/or behavioral science research experience is helpful.
